*After listening to this line countless times, I’m unsure of how the lyricist meant it. It could mean “Can it be that I won’t have to lose the dream of being near you?” BUT could also mean “Can it be that I won’t have to lose myself if I get closer to your dream?” Both of them make sense in the context of the song, so I’m leaving it up to your interpretation.
